NEW PUNTA ARENAS CEMENT GRINDING PLANT - MELON

MELÓN, relying on the experience of SCUTTI AMERICA, awarded the contract for the manufacture of TWO SILOS (1 of 960 m³ and another of 490 m³), for the new Plug&Grind® XTREME modular cement grinding unit installed in the industrial area of the city of Punta Arenas in Chile, during the years 2019-2020.
The project included all the mechanical, electrical and automation equipment for the storage, loading and unloading of raw materials required for the production of very high-strength cements, such as the premium products, Melón Extra and Melón Especial.
The plant is equipped with the most modern technology for the production of high-fine cements, has low energy consumption during production, and incorporates modern filtration and dust emission capture systems in compliance with the strictest European environmental standards. The advantages related to the compact and modular format of CEMENGAL's Plug&Grind® modular plants have been key to meeting the deadlines and quality criteria that MELON ensures in its cement investments.
